Transjö Hytta

Transjö Hytta, which is the smallest blowing room in the Kingdom of Crystal, is in an idyllic location right next to Lyckeby river. The atmosphere at Transjö is delightful and the surroundings beautiful. There is no café here, but you are welcome to bring along a picnic and enjoy the Småland countryside at its best

The blowing room has been built entirely by hand by the two master glassmakers, Jan-Erik Ritzman and Sven-Åke Carlsson, who have hung their hats at Transjö for 25 years. They create fantastic art glass with great artistic content here. They can allow their imaginations to run free, since the two masters have become proficient in most glass techniques in a professional manner. Ritzman and Carlsson accept glass students on their home ground, and also have travelled around the world teaching at glass schools in such countries as Japan, the U.S. and Swaziland. In part of an old barn they have constructed a glass shop with a small exhibition hall. Here you can shop for both second-hand glassware and first-class rare specimens.
