Boda Glassworks

Here the place name is derived from the glassworks with the little blowing room. The village, you see, bears the official name of Boda Glasbruk. Nowadays Boda is part of the Kosta Boda brand. In the area many of the old works buildings still remain, during the summer of 2011 an exhibition opend that displays the works’ historical treasures.

The blowing room at Boda is open, and visitors then have the opportunity to watch skilful craftsmen create fantastic glass. Also in the building is Design House Stockholm–an outlet that complements its selection with products from Lexington and Ceannis. Boda has both a restaurant and during the summer youth hostel accommodations.
