Bergdala Studioglas

Bergdala Studioglas

Bergdala Glassworks has merged with Studioglas Strömbergshyttan under the name Bergdala Studioglas. All glass production has been centralised at Bergdala Glassworks, where both everyday and art glass of the highest quality is now being made. At Strömbergshyttan the shop remains, and in addition to Bergdala Studioglas’ own products, you can also shop here for glass from Nybro and other glassworks.

Bergdala is the only glassworks that still has a blowing room made entirely of wood. Visitors are welcome in to experience the genuine blowing room environment and simultaneously be fascinated by the spectacle of skilled glassblowers working with molten glass. In the blowing room traditional hyttsill (hot-shop herring) also is served on certain days.

The shop is right next to the blowing room. You can shop here for Bergdala Studioglas products at factory prices. Historically, Bergdala is best know for the Blå Kant (Blue Rim) series, which has been produced since the 19th century. Nowadays the glassworks also does a lot of work with illuminated art glass products. The works’ exhibition hall above the shop displays the latest art glass.

In the blowing room vicinity visitors can enjoy both food and lodging at Bergdala Wärdshus as well.
